Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Massage

Traditional acupuncture is an ancient healthcare system originating from East Asia. Its main principles were established over 2000 years ago and through the intervening millenia its theory and practice have been honed and revised, making it as relevant and beneficial for today's healthcare needs as it has ever been.

Charles completed a BSc in Acupuncture in 2007 and joined Brook Green Clinic in 2008. In addition to his acupuncture qualifications he holds a Diploma in Tuina (Chinese Massage) and has undertaken further clinical training at the Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the main regulatory body for traditionally trained acupuncturists in the UK.

Charles has a degree from the University of Cambridge and is a former international rower. He coaches rowing at St Paul's School in Barnes and has taken numerous crews to podium finishes in national competition. Using his unique combination of acupuncture, Chinese massage and sporting experience, he is able to provide effective treatment programs for a wide range of conditions. In addition he has a special interest in stress related disorders such as anxiety, insomnia and headaches.

Healing book published

Charles co-authored a chapter in the book Spiritual Healing: Scientific and Religious Perspectives with Fraser Watts from the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge. The chapter is adapted from research he undertook for his theology degree at Cambridge University and explores some of the ways in which healing may be conceptualised. The book can be ordered through Amazon or direct from the publishers, Cambridge University Press.
